Fixed Knot Machine
The South Fence Machinery Ltd Fixed Knot Machines have been developed from the Company’s extensive experience of more than 85 years in the manufacture of wire products and machinery specifically designed and produced for the manufacture of rural wire fence products.
It is the vast experience gained over the years that has enabled South Fence Machinery Ltd to identify and design features to facilitate the most economic and efficient manufacture of wire fence products.
The same dedication and exacting standards that placed South Fence Machinery Ltd at the forefront in Hinge Joint machinery has now done the same for Fixed Knot machinery.
The Fixed Knot Machine is capable of manufacturing two rolls at a time and can operate at speeds of 40 stays per minute reliably due to the machines stay-wire management system and effective wire trips systems.
The safety systems and safety equipment that are integrated into the latest Fixed Knot Machine are extensive, the machine is now protected by Siemens light curtains and monitored guard interlock sensors with the added protection of motor position monitoring via the Siemens safety PLC giving the very best safety protection available, backed by South Fence Machinery’s comprehensive warranty this machine is favored by machine operators and business owners worldwide.
South Fence Fixed Knot Machines have been designed to ensure long economic life with ease of maintenance and operation.
The direct stay wire feed system gives versatility of fence specifications and clear uninterrupted operator vision of the knotting boxes. Line wires can be added or dropped off at the top or bottom of the fence to overcome the necessity of shifting the knotting boxes.
The indexing crimping drum allows changes of stay wire spacing to be implemented by a simple keypad operation with no other mechanical adjustments necessary.
The Fixed Knot Machine has a full complement of safety systems and a full and comprehensive risk assessment is conducted on all South Fence machines.
Safety features include:
- Integrated Siemens electrical system ensuring safety systems and machine functions are simultaneously monitored
- Category 4 monitored Light Curtains on both front and rear of the machine
- Category 4 monitored RFID Interlock switches on all removable guards and doors
- Category 3 scanners to detect workers operating in hazardous zones
- Siemens safety PLC to monitor all safety related control features
- 2mm punch panel guard system, finished in durable powder coat
